Palak Paneer
A healthy and yet yummy preparation. Used as an excellent side dish for roti.
Preparation time: 30 minutes Serves 4
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Chopped spinach
- 2 medium sized tomatoes
- 1 chopped onion
- 1/2 spoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 Cup Paneer cubes
- Oil for frying
- 1 spoon jeera powder
- 1 spoon garam masala
- 2 spoons red chiily powder.
- Salt to taste
- 1 spoon fresh cream.
- Heat oil in a pan, and fry the paneer cubes till they turn into golden brown. Set aside.
- Steam spinach and tomatoes, and make a puree out of it.
- Now take 2 tsps oil in a pan, and fry the ginger garlic paste in it for around a minute.
- Add the chopped onions in it and fry for a while.
- Now add the spinach and tomato puree to it, and saute for a while.
- Now add jeera powder, garam masala, redchilly powder, and salt and mix well.
- Finally add the fried paneer cubes in it. Top with some fresh cream. Serve hot !
